It’s Style Icon Wednesday, now let’s meet Styled by Charae.

Name: Charae Tucker

Age: 29

City/State: Dallas, Texas

Brand: Styled by Charae, LLC

Style as we know is individual, what do you think your style says about you?

My style says that I’m a polished and sophisticated woman, about her business with hints of an unexpected wild side.

In today’s society with so many different style trends out who would you say influences some of your style choices?

I have so many style influences but Lala, Kahlana Barfield Brown and Tammy Rivera, to name a few.

Summer is approaching soon, what are some of your Summer Must Haves for the season?

Oooh I just filmed a video about this! My top 3 must haves are anything with a snakeskin print (I just saw an amazing and lush pair of trousers at Banana Republic), a fanny pack and raffia summer bags or any summer textile bag.

You are the founder of “Styled by Charae “how did your brand(s) come about?

I’ll give you the short answer. Working in mid-tier and luxury retail I constantly ran across women and men who struggled to find what really worked for them.  They were purchasing clothes for all the wrong reasons, sometimes spending way too much money, only to still not be confident in their wardrobe or image. So with Styled by Charae, we put an emphasis on ‘personal’ style. We work with our clients on identifying and discovering their unique style and build a wardrobe around that.

As we all know style changes over time, how has your style changed over the course of years?

As I get closer to 30, I’ve worked to have more polished and minimalistic pieces in more wardrobe. I’ve also recently started to embrace my ‘sexy’ more.

How does your life affect your style on a daily? (Life situations, struggles, happiness etc.)

The worse I feel, the more I try to look the opposite. Not to put on a front but if I’m going through a rough season, best believe I’m at least going to look good going through it! Sometimes, that’s all it feels like I can control. Plus, I’m a big believer that how you look and how you view yourself has a massive effect on your psyche. It’s up to you whether it’s a positive or negative effect.

Your young on the rise and have a dope brand behind you, what should we be expecting from you in the coming months?

You can expect to see Styled by Charae in media and creating a unique lane in the Closet Organization space.

How would you best describe your brand?

My brand is timeless, polished, unique and inspiring.

One key thing I learned about Miss Charae from this interview, is she has no problem creating her own lane and being innovative with the change of times. Another major key that she dropped, and I hope many didn’t miss it, “The worse I feel, the more I try to look the opposite”, this rang so clearly to me. Often times, when we go through, we look it because we want people to know, because it sparks a level of sympathy or concern that maybe we wanted ( even if just a little bit ).

The Word tells us, “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.  But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face,  so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. “Matthew 6: 16-18.

Miss Charae said such a major statement, which is vital in the world of Fashion and Style. When you are a stylist of wardrobe, you dress to how you feel, so the fact she made sure to mention that is very strong message, to all those who claim to be a stylist of fashion/wardrobe. I hope you enjoyed meeting Styled by Charae, I know we did and she also left us with a little message that takes you back to the word.

Happy Style Icon Wednesday’s
