Life of an Entrepreneur: SugaMamas

Happy Hump Day My Good People! You guys know we love our fellow entrepreneurs, and we enjoy learning about their pros and cons to the aspect of entrepreneurship. I know. I know. Wednesdays are normally dedicated to the eyes of style and fashion, but we switched it up today. Today we have an awesome entrepreneur, who takes creativity to another level. Her creativity definitely falls in her attention to detail and her eye for unique designs. SugaMamas is the name and cakes and treats is the name of the game around these parts. Her creative nature and unique mind to curate amazing cakes and treats is simply astounding. We were so ecstatic to learn about this innovative cake and treat maker, we thoroughly enjoyed her and we hope that you will too.

Name: LaTamara buggs

City/State: Fort Worth, Texas

Occupation: CEO

Brand/Business: Sugamamas

What motivated you to start your own business?

I started this business on accident!  My husband and I were experiencing some financial difficulties, but I wanted my daughter to have a really nice dessert table, so I got online and figured out how to do it myself.  After a few months, I realized that this was something I really loved to do, so here I am!

What is your brand / business about?

Sugamamas is all about turning your wildest dreams into an edible reality.

What is a typical day like growing/building your business?

Chaotic! Being a business owner, wife, and mother of two is definitely a juggling act! I’m always on the go!

What are your strengths/weaknesses as an entrepreneur?

I’m a really strong person so I’m able to take the bad and keep it moving.  Very little gets to me, and absolutely nothing will make me quit! Sadly though, I am a huge procrastinator! I will wait until the last minute to do things, and that often causes me to not sleep very much.

What advice would you give to up and coming entrepreneurs?

Keep going! Businesses aren’t built overnight! Obstacles will arise and you have to have the willpower to overcome them! If it’s truly your passion, don’t let anyone or anything get in your way!

What one piece of advice did you take that helped you as an entrepreneur?

All money aint good money! It’s ok to say no, every dollar isn’t worth the headache!

What keeps you mentally/physically motivated while running your business?

My children are my motivators! I will grind sun up to sun down for them!

What is your end goal as an entrepreneur? ( what do you hope to accomplish with your brand outside of financial gain)

I want to show young girls that it can be done! No matter what you go through, you can still come out on top!

How do you get through the rough days as an entrepreneur?

Prayer!! I pray a lot.  Also talking to my husband! He is truly my rock and will always bring me back to focus

Dang Guys, get a look at some of these awesome treats and cakes she has made ( everything is editable ). I know hard to believe huh? We hope you enjoyed learning about SugaMamas as much as we enjoyed talking with her. Yet again, as I would like to point out, God and Prayer is at the forefront of many and majority of the businesses that you see and read about. Which too many God is an essential factor in the expansion and growth of their business and brand. Don’t forget about him, when your trying to get where you are.

Have a Lovely day ,
